Privacy policy
paycheck.tools is a free set of US paycheck and payroll calculators. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to have it deleted. We keep it short because we collect little.
What the calculators do with your numbers
The figures you type into a calculator (pay, hours, filing status, and so on) are sent to our server only to compute your result and are shown back to you. We do not store the numbers from an anonymous calculation, and we never sell them.
Accounts and saved calculations
If you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed password (or, if you use "Continue with Google", the Google account identifier, never your Google password). When you choose to save a calculation, we store the inputs and results of that calculation so you can return to it. Saved calculations belong to your account and are visible only to you.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which calculators are used and whether results load correctly. It is configured for privacy: IP addresses are anonymized and Google advertising and ad-personalization signals are turned off. We use it to improve the site, not to build advertising profiles.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser or an extension sends a GPC signal, analytics is not loaded at all for your visit. Because our audience is US-only at launch and we do not use ad-personalization, we do not show a cookie-consent banner; GPC is the opt-out we honor.
We use Resend to send transactional email only: address verification and password resets. We do not send marketing email, and there is no newsletter to unsubscribe from.
Affiliate links
Some results may show a clearly labeled "Sponsored" recommendation. If you click it, we record the click (which offer, and which calculator it came from) so we can be credited by the partner. We do not share your calculation inputs with any partner.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your saved calculations and your login details. If you cannot reach your settings, use the contact link in the footer and we will remove your data.
Changes
If our data practices change, we will update this page. The "data updated" date in the footer reflects our latest tax-data import, not this policy's revision date.
