Overtime Pay Calculator
Work out your overtime pay at time-and-a-half or double-time, plus your total pay.
Overtime is the pay you earn for hours beyond your regular schedule, usually at time-and-a-half (1.5×) your rate and sometimes at double-time (2×). Enter your rate and hours to see your overtime pay and your total gross pay.
These figures are before taxes. To see the new federal tax break on overtime, use the no-tax-on-overtime calculator linked below.
Frequently asked questions
How is overtime pay calculated?
Overtime pay is your hourly rate multiplied by your overtime multiplier (1.5× for time-and-a-half, 2× for double-time) times your overtime hours. Total pay adds your regular pay (rate × regular hours) to that overtime pay.
Does this include taxes?
No. This calculator shows gross overtime and total pay before withholding. For your take-home pay use the paycheck calculator; for the new overtime tax deduction use the no-tax-on-overtime calculator.
